These will be about what I cook and the interesting things I eat here. Honestly I'm broke as shit because I haven't gotten a job yet, so I don't know when I'm going to try to local food. I highly reccomend learning how to cook in college. Being able to customize your food to however you want it is awesome.
I really wanted to make kimchi fried rice, so I got the required groceries after I went to a dermatology appointment. I was so fucking drained that day, and getting the groceries really sucked the rest of my energy out of me. Then, I found out that the groceries I picked out cost SEVENTY DOLLARS. I may have used my parents credit card that day. Anyways, I made the fried rice one week later, and it was incredibly mediocore. The green onions I had bought went bad, and I didn't put nearly enough kimchi sauce into the rice. I used spam for protien, and I didn't even get a crust on it. So much rice stuck to the bottom of the dutch oven. I ended up trying it again a few days later, and it went so much better the second time. I chopped the kimchi up into smaller pieces, browned the spam in a non-stick pan, and added way more kimchi sauce. Most importantly, I cooked with my awesome roommate Andrew. It's nice to have someone next to you to keep you focused. Love you brother. No picture, but here are some of the ingredients I used. First try, 3.9/10. Second try, 8.4/10.
I made burritos. I don't even want to fucking talk about the burritos. Horrible dissapointment. I put so much energy into making them, and I could hardly get them to close. What a waste of groceries. Hoenstly one of the biggest dissapointments in my life. I think I might be okay one day. I didn't take any pictures, the picture to the left is how it felt to eat them. Good learning experience. 2.3/10
